The Best Beach Retreat!

Okay, I'm just going to say that
this is how we started our mornings at the beach this
past weekend.
Kelli and April are such foodies that every meal
was like we stepped into a fine restaurant!

my two besties kelli and april

I treated them both (because I love to give gifts)
 to aprons that
suited their personality.
Let me just say thatI had to endure
these two talking food
and exchanging recipes the whole time!
Then they would wake up early
6:oo am early!
because they are not night owls like
moi,
and go on hikes down the 350 (not kidding here)
steps
to the beach, walk the beach for
miles...

then back up the 350 steps all
refreshed and
ready to start the day!

In the meantime,
I had, I think, just gotten to sleep from reading
all night!
I made the mistake the one night and
started reading the newest
Flea Market Style
magazine and my mind started
racing!
As only besties could get away with,
they would force me to go on more walks!
"But we're on vacation! Isn't crawling through
junk shops
excercise??".....
...they wouldn't hear it.
That's why they are the bestest besties ever!

April at the door

Okay, on to our venture....

 This is one of my
favorite stops everytime I head to
the Oregon coast.
It's this junk shack that is filled to the brim with all sorts of
oddities and treasures.
It is literally an ADD nightmare!
Which is why it takes me
an hour to go through all
200 square feet
of it!
It's called "Lexi's Cool Stuff".

this section and the bottles below were the only
sense of organization!

Then when you look up.....

hats, all over the ceiling!

We also went to a particular fave of mine called
 Little White Church Antiques.

I'm just going to say that this is a
feast for the eyes.

in the summer the barrels and window boxes are
 brimming with gorgeous flowers

the shop's sweet owners Linda and Lori

One of the back rooms had piles of vintage linen,
I felt like I had died
and gone to
Little White Church
heaven!

a little somethin' for the beach house peeps

Okay, so I said before I left  that I was going to
be on the hunt
for vintage bottles to make a garland.
I scored these in one
of the shops.

They are purplely in color and I think will make
a great accent to my garland.

Then with my racing ADD mind, I came up
with another
idea.....
wait until you see,
you are going to
love
it!!!

Hi! So glad you stopped by my blog today. Sounds like your trip with your besties was great! I was laughing about the foodie comments because sometimes when I have guests I wake up early to prep breakfast and they gave me the "you are crazy but thanks you tons" look. Hey we foodies love feeding people! :)
